Guy began to recognize the
power of presentations when he interviewed applicants who were seeking
employment with an advertising agency.
Guy was appalled at
how unaware most applicants were of the subliminal negatives they
were communicating through their presentations. Tacky portfolios
spoke of their lack of pride and excellence. Disorganized,
bulky, desk-rearranging presentations effectively trampled their potential employer's
personal workspace.
The underlying message of such presentations
begs the question; "Is this how you will represent
our business to our clients?"
Likewise, a representative may speak a few words verbally, while a visual presentation communicates volumes about the company, its pride, its ethics, its professionalism, and much more. |
